"A laugh out loud, pee your pants kinda Book!
First off, I am in absolute love with Cassidy. The girl has such a sense of humor that is 9 out of 10 times in the gutter (my kinda girl). I was laughing at her craziness more times than not and just totally fell in love with her. I could see her being my crazy best friend.
Secondly, Wyatt is just so damn hot and I need him in my life too! A man from money who doesn’t let the money dictate his life and actually uses it to benefit others. Just totally swoon worthy.
Wyatt and Cassidy meet when she is applying for a job at the new store in town. Little to Cassidy’s surprise she is offered a position to be the Manager of Wyatt’s newest Sex Toy store. What ensues from her acceptance of the job to the end is lots of funny @ss moments and drama between themselves and the small town.
At the end of the day this story was one of the top funniest books I’ve read in a long time. Not only was Scarlet Toys funny but it also carried a message that at the end of the day it isn’t t necessarily about the money but those who get you for you and will stick by you and do just about anything to help. S.M. Shade said it perfectly “Money, education, and high-class upbringing doesn’t instill the most important things a person needs in life; compassion, love, and a sense of community.â€
S.M. Shade definitely does not disappoint with this book and it is a definite must read in my opinion. Not for vanilla folks though...lots of boobie and d!ck talk in the book. And OMG...the bounce house scene - S.M. Shade I almost fell off the couch while reading that part - absolute #pricelessness!!!!!
P.S. I kinda want to move to Violent Circle now!

- This is book is quirky. The author clearly knows how to weave comedy into the ordinary to make this seem like it could be real. There are some laugh out loud moments and the characters are well characters. They can be odd, loud, and real. The poison ivy incident, the issues with the neighbors was amusing.
The major problem with this novel is that is set up in toy shop, but the characters never really use that to their full advantage nor does it seem really knowledgeable about the items they were selling. Either use this plot line to your full advantage or give us a reason why the characters are not interested in it. It is fine if they are not all that serious about it, but it just seemed like a forgotten element meant to spark a conversation but it was never really explored. Otherwise, the humor us spot on.
So here in lies the real problem, sometimes comedy was favored over substance here, a little bit more explaining and this novel could have been five stars. Understandably the author wanted comedy to come first, but comedy is based on reality. And sometimes that reality was lacking to deliver the comedic punch.
Still give it try, the laughable moments are worth it. Just don't expect anything super deep. - A laugh out loud, pee your pants kinda Book!

The relationship between Cassidy West and Wyatt Lawson is easy and funny. They are a perfect match!
I love how developed all the characters are, even Cassidy's neighbors and friends. I love the crazy neighborhood!

I highly recommend this book if you want something light and heartwarming! It's filled with awkward moments, funny situations and witty bantering.
Read about the psycho squirrel (who, btw I would love to read more about), vibrator race, bouncing castle, restroom pictures...I could go on and on. But you just have to read it yourself, I promise, you will not be disappointed!

Shannon Shade's brand of comedy had me in hysterics. This cast of characters and the neighborhood they lived in was straight out of a comedy sitcom. A cross between Friends, Modern Family and maybe some SNL. I almost wonder how Shannon made it through even writing this book. I would legit have spit coffee and or food all over my computer. Let's hope she wasn't eating or drinking while writing. Which leads me to my warning. Don't eat or drink while reading this.
Wyatt and Cassidy seem like a very unlikely couple, she's struggling to get by and he's a successful business man. However these two have a chemistry and those moments are hot as well as funny. Whether it's Cassidy's thoughts running through her head or the fact that Wyatt finds a way to fit into her neighborhood so well, this story just has something that will make your heart happy. It's such a feel good book.
I absolutely can't wait for more from this series. I highly recommend this for those days where you are in the mood for a funny, light hearted romance that will just make you smile.
